Pompano Beach Storage Units can be just what you need during a move or a renovation. When moving an entire household, they can help make the move smoother. When you are shifting, they can keep your household stuff under lock and key till you are settled in your new home.
Even getting your things to your new home is part of the job of a storage facility. They can rent you the right size truck and help with supplies. Specialty boxes, tape, bubble wrap, furniture blankets and even markers are available. These added extras greatly reduce the stress of packing.

Actual moving timelines can be unpredictable, especially when making a major move. Pompano Beach Self Storage rents units on both long term and short term basis. With a variety of affordable rental agreements, they work for most people.

The proper unit size and type can be hard to determine. Pompano Beach Storage can give expert advice and formulas to help you determine what you need. Some smaller units are the approximate size of a coat closet and can hold many properly stacked boxes. Larger units, the size of an average bedroom, can store an entire apartment if stored efficiently. Large units for vehicles are also available. When you are moving, extra vehicles might need temporary storage until permanent arrangements are in place. They also have temperature controlled units available. These units can come in handy for storing sensitive electronic equipment and important documents during moves. Special or valuable collections might also be better off in a storage unit during a move. This way, you know they are safe and secure until you find a permanent home for them.

Pompano Beach Storage can also be an efficient solution to the hectic and hassling process of home renovation. If you are turning a garage or basement into a family room, turning to self storage can help. You might want to keep your extra car, lawn mowers, garden tools, and seasonal decorations out of sight while you improve your home. If you are renovating a living room or kitchen, keeping your furniture in storage during the process protects it from possible damage. Storing will also keep it out of the way so renovation can go more smoothly. For some of these items, you might turn to self storage as a permanent solution if your garage or basement isn’t going to be available for storage after the renovation.

Pompano Beach Storage Units is also conveniently located near the water. This proximity makes it ideal for storage of boats, jet skis, and other water craft. When you want to keep these items secure and out of the way it makes sense to utilize storage facilities.

Visiting storage units can make choosing Pompano Beach Storage Units easy. The website gives visitors an aerial view of the facility. Website visitors can also find online easy to understand size equivalents for Pompano Beach Storage units.

Consuming raw foods is natural. Our bodies respond very well to all that is fresh and vital and thrive when consuming these types of food. By increasing the amount of raw food that you eat you are actually opting for a feeling of increased well being. When you switch to a raw food diet, the raw food recipes are based on uncooked or unprocessed plant foods, preferably organic. These plant foods include a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, nuts, seeds, grains, dried fruit, fresh juices and purified water.

The reason why you should switch to raw food recipes is because it is basically a vegetarian diet that promotes eating and drinking living foods. By consuming living foods and juices, you benefit from the maximum amount of fiber that can be found in a raw product. This fiber can be lost when the food is either processed or cooked. Raw foods are metabolized easier and are not as high in calories as the products consumed when following an average diet. The basic principle of a raw food diet is heating the foods up to 1160 F or about 460 C. The reason why you should not heat them at higher temperatures is found in the enzymes that are destroyed when subjected to such temperatures. The enzymes help food digestion and food absorption and they also give the nutritional value of foods. Therefore it is in our best interests to keep them intact. In the opposite situation, we actually force our bodies to an increased amount of work and we also contribute to the diminishing of the nutritional value of our food.

Subsequently, the benefits of raw food recipes are numerous. If you have a diet consistent of at least 75% raw foods you will receive health benefits such as increased energy, improved skin appearance, better digestion, weight loss or weight gain (depending on what your body needs). Other benefits include reducing the risks of serious illnesses like heart diseases, cancer, diabetes and more.

Raw food recipes are based on components that contain little or no saturated fats. Also, they are low in sodium, but high on magnesium, potassium and fiber. You can also use raw food recipes as detoxification solutions. If you appeal to different combinations of raw, living foods and juices you may find that they are useful for colon cleansing, liver cleansing, kidney cleansing and skin cleansing.

The reasons why you should appeal to a raw food diet may vary. Depending on these reasons, you can choose what to consume in order to improve that aspect of your health you are particularly interested in. For instance, sprouted brown rice helps slow glucose absorption and improve the metabolism; cabbage supports cellular function while radish leaves act as an anti-oxidant; carrots, a great source of vitamin A, are well-known to encourage healthy eyesight, but they also support a reliable cardio-vascular system.

Some people enjoy eating cakes and sweets. If you switch to a raw food diet, you shouldn’t think that you have to stop eating desserts. In a raw food diet you can use raw honey as a sweetener. Raw honey contains traces of propolis, a substance used by bees to seal the hive and protect it from harmful microorganisms. Other substances found in raw honey, called phytonutrients, help prevent colon cancer and can also help heal internal ulcers.

If you consume honey regularly, it is known to be beneficial for the general well-being and it also helps digestion. Amazing as it sounds, raw honey has been shown to improve athletic performance, a secret that was discovered by ancient Olympians. This happens because it helps maintain balanced levels of blood sugar, which in turn helps at keeping energy levels consistent. In addition, it helps muscle recovery. Other amazing properties of raw honey include the support it gives to the immune system in warding off colds and flu. It is a healthy substitute for sugar that can even help reduce the cholesterol levels. Include it in your raw food recipes and you will get the best for your body and mind.

You probably know the advantages that raw food diet brings about. A raw food diet is a type of dietary plan of which the literally involves the consuming of uncooked, unprocessed fruits, vegetables, sprouts, seaweed, nuts and juices. The main idea behind the raw food diet is that cooking and processing removes the much needed vitamins, enzymes and nutrients that our bodies need in order to have a healthy life. Below are types of raw food diet that you may want to try.

Fruitarian

This is probably one of the most interesting types of raw food diet. Fruitarians essentially mean the consumption of foods that primarily consist of fruits, nuts and grains or a “fruit only diet”. Fruits provide nourishment and are quite refreshing. They don’t obstruct the circulatory system of the body; in fact, they clean the arteries and blood vessels.

Juicearian

Drinking fruit and vegetable juice is considered as the best way to remove toxins. Juice is a type of concentrated nutrition. Individuals who drink prefer this type of diet opt for fresh fruits and vegetables.

Sproutarian

This type of raw food diet focuses more on consuming sprouts. You may not know it but sprouts are rich in vitamins and nutrients. As a matter of fact, contain all of the required elements a plant needs for it to live and grow. The seed of the sprout acts like a depot of carbohydrates, protein and oil. And when the seed develops; the seeds is then filled with predigested amino acids and natural sugars that provide nourishment to the plant. Sprouts are rich with energy that will provide us with additional vigor and life.

Raw food diet is the best way to give your body the nourishment it needs. Most of the people in the United States nowadays are overweight. Being overweight does not mean you have all the nourishment that your body needs, as a matter of fact overweight individuals usually crave for the essential nourishment that their body needs. The reason that they are overweight is because of the processed foods that they consume and the way the foods served. Almost all of the processed provide only a small amount of what the body really needs. Therefore, they tend to consume more processed food than what their body needed and still do not have sufficient nourishment. And in order to be healthy, you must have a healthy diet.

Thinking about, or starting a raw food diet? Here are a few points to consider and help you along the way.

Raw foodism is the practice of eating a raw food diet and is practiced by people known as raw foodists.

Raw food recipes can be found in cookbooks devoted to the category, or hidden away in more traditional cookbooks. When you find a recipe you like, be sure to save it so you can enjoy it any time.

Enzymes are proteins that are made in living cells and help certain biochemical processes. Raw food diets focus on the enzymes that promote health and aid digestion. Heating food past 116F kills these beneficial enzymes, which is why raw food is better.

Most raw foodists do eat cooked food, but only sparingly, and even then with an eye on the overall quality and purity of the food. Cooked food is any food that is heated above 116F, this includes pasteurization which is designed to kill micro-organisms.

Sprouts can come from seeds, beans, or grains that have started to grow – or ‘sprout’. This process unlocks more nutritional value and improves the taste. You can do it yourself or buy special sprouters, and sprouting kits.

Weight loss is a natural consequence of eating a raw food diet. Some people start a raw food lifestyle for the purpose of losing weight, but soon find it is about much more than just dropping a few pounds

Digestion is the process of breaking down food, absorbing its nutrients, and eliminating the waste. Raw foodists believe that by leaving naturally occurring food enzymes intact that it will aid in digestion – allowing the body to get the full value of the foods it is taking in. And because your personal energy is not being used more than needed for digestion, you will have more physical energy

Fruits and vegetables comprise a large portion of most raw foods diets. For those interested in raw foodism, fruits and vegetables are a good way start as they tend to be more familiar to us. Then you can simply add new, or more exotic, fruits and vegetables as you go along

Nutrition is the overall benefit that food imparts to us. However this benefit can be severely limited by poor digestion and other health issues. Raw foodism helps promote ideal nutrition at all levels.

Dried fruits make handy snacks. Be sure the temperature does not go over 116F if you are dehydrating at home. If you purchase store bought dried fruit be sure to check the label to make sure it is 100% organic and contains no additives or preservatives.

Nuts also make another handy snack and have the benefit of being high in protein and fat – the right kind of fat. People that worry about not getting enough fat or protein in a raw food diet need look no further than nuts. One word of caution, be sure to avoid nuts that have been roasted, as the temperature at which this is done is too high.

Beans come in a lot of varieties, and are high in fiber and protein and low in fat. They can be combined in many ways. As they are not to be cooked, soaking and sprouting are two common ways to eat them.

Grains are very versatile and can be eaten any time of the day. You should choose whole grains that are certified organic. Grains can also be sprouted.

The vegan diet causes some confusion. Vegans that cook their food are not raw foodists, though it would be fairly easy to make the full switch. Raw foodists are not always vegans, as some do eat dairy products, or the occasional piece of fish

Health improvements of all kinds are claimed by raw foodists. While some of the evidence for a raw food diet to cure even the most harmful of diseases is anecdotal, there is no question that eating better food than the typical Western diet affords is a smart choice.

Feeling like you are indeed a part of a larger community when first going raw can be one of the biggest factors of success with the lifestyle. Many long-time raw food enthusiasts have relayed this same piece of advice for raw food newbies: “Find support from and get involved with other raw foodists.” We should not be alone in our raw food journey, and nor do we have to be. With the Internet full of social networking sites, raw food communities, and raw food forums, there is no reason to feel isolated. Joining your community or communities means receiving more support, quicken your learning curve, and having more fun. It also means learning about different raw food ways of eating, recipes, business opportunities and ideas, and most importantly, making new friends and connections from all around the world.

Here are the top seven ways you can get involved with the raw food community by creating and finding support:

1. Find your favorite raw food forum or two, bookmark them on your computer, and check them every day or every other day for topics, new forums, and people that interest you. Have a raw food question? Don’t be afraid to ask questions in a new forum or existing chat. See how others are happy to help you out with their experience, strength and hope! Don’t hesitate to post an answer or experience to another person’s question either. As a precautionary warning, forums can eat up a lot of your time if you’re not mindful, so set aside an allotted max amount of time per day to be on these. To find these raw food forums, do a search engine search for “raw food forum” or “raw foods community.” Many are free, some require a monthly membership subscription.

2. Find your favorite raw food blogs and bookmark them on your computer for some raw foods inspiration. Subscribe to the website’s RSS feed if you don’t want to be checking these websites everyday for updates. This will give you notification on your RSS Reader whenever the blogger has updated with a new post. Bloggers often post about experiences with new raw food diets, detoxes, recipes, and superfoods. Most of what they blog about will be of interest to the raw food beginner.

3. Make a habit of commenting on other people’s blog’s, as well as updates in Facebook, in order to get more connected to others and engage in a fun conversation. This is as great way to get people to check out your website or blog too, if you have one. Most bloggers really love getting comments!

4. Join several raw food, vegan, and/or holistic health meetups on www.meetup.com/rawfood and write down upcoming events on your calendar or datebook. Make a commitment to go to 1-2 events per month. It would be great to get a friend to go with you as well. Make sure to get e-mail addresses and phone numbers of the people you click with.

5. Ask your favorite raw fooders to become friends with you on Facebook. Facebook is a wonderful place to view raw food photos, get invited to raw food events, and have 1-on-1 conversations with others. There are many interest groups in Facebook that you can join as well to share information and experience within.

6. Host a raw potluck of your own at your place! If you’re inviting non-raw friends, give them easy raw-food recipes to make so it’s as easy as possible for them. Another option for creating your own raw food community would be to start your own raw food meetup, especially if there aren’t any in your area. Meetup.com has instructions on how to do this. There is a fee but this can easily be covered if attendees to events put in $1-$2 each.

If you’re looking for a healthy alternative to cooked berry pies or even cooked desserts that are laden with unhealthy fats and sugars, why not try my live-food, free, easy, raw berry pie recipe. Many people are gradually making the switch from cooked desserts and cooked foods which are causing so many of our health problems today. It doesn’t matter if you’re a raw fooder or eat the standard American diet; you’ll love this raw berry pie recipe and know that you’re doing your body good in the process.

In fact making a raw berry pie does not require turning on the oven and can be made in virtually minutes. I have often timed myself and can make this pie in ten minutes or less if the ingredients are assembled. Equipment: food processor.

This is my own creation, one of many vegetarian, vegan and raw food recipes that I have developed and created over the past few years as a raw fooder – eating raw foods, having cured myself of breast cancer, fibromyalgia, arthritis and sinus infections along with many other ailments.

You can use the pie crust for dozens of other types of raw food recipes or live pies including raw or live apple pie. I’ve experimented with dozens of variations and tried various ingredients but I’ve found this raw blackberry or blueberry pie recipe is the best, fastest and easiest recipe to make. In fact if you’re going to have company coming over you can whip this free raw food diet recipe up in no time.

Helen’s Best Raw Berry Pie – the ingredients: 12 organic medjool dates, 1 cup raw pecans, 4 cups fresh or frozen blueberries, blackberries or boysenberries and 2 bananas.

For the crust put 1 cup of raw pecans in a food processor and grind until fine. Add 8 pitted organic medjool dates and process until mixed fairly well. Place into a 9-inch pie plate.

For the binder mix two bananas, 8 berries or so for color and 4 medjool dates in a food processor – use the same food processor – don’t need to wash it. Remove to large bowl and carefully fold in 4 cups of fresh or frozen or partially frozen blueberries, boysenberries or blackberries. Spread berry-binder mixture on top of the crust. Decorate with boysenberries or blackberries around the edge of the pie. Refrigerate.

This live or raw berry pie is a family favorite and one I have served on many occasions to company who are not aware they are eating something healthy containing all the vibrant nutrients – nothing cooked out.

This pie is really good with boysenberries too. You can also slice some fresh kiwi on the top or other fruits that won’t turn color.

One nice thing to know about fixing any raw food recipe is that you can eliminate, substitute or add ingredients easily and it will still taste delicious! In this vegan or raw food diet recipe – you may only have one banana on hand for example or you can make half the recipe. You can substitute the pecans for a mixture of one half cup pecans and one half cup walnuts, or all walnuts.

If you live in an area where you have tons of wild blackberries you can make this pie for pennies. Pick blueberries cheaply in the summer and freeze them for year-round use, although fresh berries are always the best. You can make raw berry pies with this free raw food recipe year-round and you’ll feel good too knowing you have served your friends and family something that will help them better their health and help them lose weight if they need to too.

If you want natural weight loss and improve your health, then consider a raw food diet as an option. There are many benefits including a stronger immune system.

Many believe that a raw vegan diet is the natural diet for humans. It seems like people on raw food diets can eat almost as much as they want and still maintain a healthy weight.

Cavemen didn’t eat cooked foods until after they learned how to use fire. Once they begin using fire they slowly incorporated cooked foods into their diet.

This appears to make sense. Raw foods contain all the natural enzymes that assist you to completely digest your food without putting excessive strain on your body. Cooked foods have most if not all of the enzymes destroyed. Even some raw food is processed to death making for a sad substitute for proper food.

We are all aware of the hormones, preservatives and other unhealthy additives that are in our foods today. This is a significant reason to try to eat organic foods as well.

People on raw food diets seem to be healthier, happier and hardly catch a cold. You do have to make sure you have enough vit-b12 though. Have this checked and take a supplement if necessary.

One healthy food that may be particularly good in helping with weight loss is parsnips. They are high in fiber which makes you feel fuller. Parsnips can lower cholesterol and keep your blood sugar even.

If you definitely want to lose weight and keep it off, then you need to follow a healthy lifestyle. This means a natural diet and exercise. Instead of taking the elevator, take the stairs. Only on those Geico comercials will you see a caveman taking an escalator instead of hoofing it.

Make sure you include healthy oils and fats that contains omega 3. Stay away from the unhealthy ones. Avocados also contain healthy oils.

Even if you can’t cut out all cooked foods and meats, try to eat more fresh fruits and vegetables. Continue on this path and you will start to feel great and wonder why you haven’t started this long ago.

After the cavemen discovered fire they had to chase their dinner. They even had to run from their so-called dinners at times. Before they ate meat they had to thoroughly search for other food. I suppose they exercised a bit more than we do today.

Nutritionist and fitness experts say that going on vegan diet can be a healthy choice. Others would say it’s an exaggerated version of a nutritional diet and risky to embrace because the human body scientifically requires not just fiber and good carbohydrates but also high protein which vegetables have a little amount of. Not all can tolerate eating raw food and vegan recipes in every single meal. But those who can manage such diet plan are expectedly lean and fat-free. Certain dishes that fuse veggies and root crops together can be costly at times, which is why all-veggie diet isn’t a preferred diet among majority of individuals.

Good nutrition always comes with raw food and vegan recipes, balanced protein and carbohydrates. Yoga followers are on vegetable diet, which is why most of those who practice it appear to be skinny or slim. Organic food may be good source of fiber that our body highly requires but it doesn’t accelerate the development of muscles. If you are muscle builder, vegetables are not good to eat alone. You have to integrate some considerable amount of protein that contains all the amino acids you need for muscle building. Vegans usually go for foods like apples, beets, carrots, raw grains, oats, rye, sesame seeds, almonds, oranges, pumpkins, tomatoes, asparagus, broccoli, red peppers, spinach, buckwheat, pomegranate, cabbages, etc. Eating green salads without any meat content is strictly vegan but if you put in some chicken breasts or bacon strips in it, that’s deemed to be semi-vegan.

Fruits and vegetables are recognized to be good sources of vitamins and minerals, aside from fiber, good carbohydrates and antioxidants. Raw food and vegan recipes are usually broiled or boiled, not fried or mixed preservatives or additives. Raw whole grain muesli, oat yogurt, green salads, tomato salad, vegetable soup are among the vegan recipes that are considered healthy and effective for those who want to lose weight. Preparing raw food is ideal for those people whose schedule is too hectic in that they don’t have time to cook anymore. Vegetable dishes are fitting to those with high blood cholesterol and health-threatening issues. You can never go wrong with vegetable diet, as per vegans.

If you find yourself being overweight or obese, maybe it’s high time that you shift to a healthier diet plan. Perhaps you can consider eating raw food and vegan recipes. You can give it a week and discover the results yourself in order to gauge the efficacy of embracing an all-veggie diet and eating raw food. If you are too dedicated to lose weight and manage yourself healthily, you can make it in a longer period of time. But if you are too weak to tolerate such stiff diet that deprives you of other healthy foods found in lean meat, then you won’t survive in dwelling on a vegan diet for a longer time

Thinking that going raw may blow your budget? It definitely does not have to be. Check out the following budget survival tips every raw food list must know:

1) Going Slow

The truth is – if you plan to be complete with elaborate equipment, measuring utensils and expect to prepare gourmet raw foods everyday, there will be some investment which needs to be made.

But you can always take smaller steps and go slowly. For beginners, I do not recommend getting expensive equipment right away. In fact, if you have my 3D2N Weekend Detox, you can see that a person can be raw even without a blender.

I have a student residing in Taiwan who has zero equipment, and she managed to carry on the detox using raw foods for more than 5 days!!

Before you jump into buying a dehydrator or even a high powered blender, try to see if you can make do with any household blenders you already own. Even with these common home blenders, you can prepare some decent raw dishes.

When you are more comfortable financially and ready to move on to the chef/fancy gourmet levels, you can opt to buy more equipment and source for pricier ingredients.

2) Get the best you can within your affordability

If you compare organic nuts to non-organic nuts, of course organic nuts will be much more expensive! And even more so on our little island where availability is sometimes an issue. If getting the real organic versions blow your budget, then opt for the non-organic versions instead. There is no perfect scenario for every occasion, so lets just make the best out of our individual situations.

Imagine if you are trapped in a cell with either fries, or baked potatoes (non-organic), of course it’ll make more sense to choose the latter! So, don’t worry too much, just buy within your budget and reap the maximum benefits possible.

For a list of the top-most polluted fruits/vegetables, read my article Should We Go Organic from my website below.

Remember that Nature is generous, do we really need that special fruit/vegetable to give us a certain precious nutrient? By listening to your own body and making sensible choices, worrying about malnutrition can often be unnecessary.

3) Buy from distributors/wholesalers

If you are concerned about budget, then buying from wholesalers will make more sense than buying from supermarkets. Its all about value actually; you are paying for the supermarket’s overheads, advertising and transport costs, in return for accessibility and comfortable shopping

Most vegan diets are frowned upon because of the Vitamin B12 controversy. From all the angles of anti-veganism, this is probably the most common concern.

Vitamin B12, abundant in high quality animal products, is a nutrient which many medical doctors claim to be difficult for vegetarians to obtain.

What Is B12?

B12 is a nutrient produced only by micro-organisms, and is found in a variety of animal and certain plant sources. People with healthy intestines also produce large amounts of B12 in their colons.

But because of B12 absorption problems (which again depends on a variety of factors), and most people do not have healthy digestive tracts and colons, many health experts advised vegetarians to include B12 supplements in their diet.

As B12 can be stored in the liver for up to 6 years, it can be some time before deficiency signs show up. People with liver dysfunctions or B12 assimilation problems may experience these signs sooner.

So what is B12 for and why is it so important?

Why

B12 is required for basic body functions including the formation of red-blood cells, normal cell growth, fertility/pregnancy, immunity systems, and even treatment for some degenerative diseases (like cancer,AIDS) etc.

Common deficiency signs include anemia, weaknesses/fatigue, diarrhea/indigestion, depression, mental imbalances and even brain damage in serious cases.

A good indicator of a B12 deficiency is a red, shiny and smooth tongue.

However, the signs of deficiency may be concealed by the “masking syndrome” of the B-complex vitamin folic acid. Folic acid contains similar properties to that of B12 and are actually inter-dependent with B12 for many body functions.

While folate alleviates many symptoms of B12 deficiency, the damage is still being done secretly to the body! And because folate is abundant in leafy greens, legumes and sprouts, we can see why deficient vegetarians only started to see the signs years later.

Before we condemn vegan diets, there are more things to consider. Apart from liver illnesses and poor digestive absorption, there are other factors which can cause B12 deficiency:

Contraceptives/Birth Control Pills
Antibiotics
Intoxicants (coffee, cigarettes, alcohol etc)
Stress (mental and physical)
Chronic illnesses

Can you see that B12 deficiency problems are not restricted to vegans only? Basically, anyone with an imbalanced lifestyle/diet can be at risk.

How – Solutions
The easiest way, and probably most used method is to take B12 supplements.

I personally do not take B12 supplements, but there is nothing wrong with adding a B12 supplement into a strict vegan diet, just to play safe.

A helpful note would be to know that B12 mal-absorption is mostly caused by gastric juices losing a mucoprotein enzyme (which makes B12 absorption efficient).

This is known as the “intrinsic factor”, and can be lost through aging, surgery or excess intestinal bacteria. So if you opt for oral B12 supplements, be sure to choose the ones which cover this aspect.

Another well-rounded method would be to include a quality pro-biotic supplement. Although I do not take these on a daily basis, I use them to ferment raw nut cheeses, or to make nut milk with.

And of course, B12 growth is supported from some great tasting plant sources like unpasteurized miso, which I take on a regular basis. One thing to take note in the use of miso is the salt content: lighter miso has a lower salt content as compared to the darker ones

Drinking blended greens is essential to optimal health for everyone – regardless of the predominant diet which the person is eating.

Today, Greens occupy a tiny section of most supermarkets, but yet these are humble power houses which gives us life, healing powers and precious nourishment.

Chlorophyll

The magic of Green leaves from plants lie in their ability to turn energy from the sun into nutrients and oxygen through photosynthesis.

It has been proven in research that chlorophyll can oxygenate, rejuvenate body cells and even cure degenerative diseases. When we consume greens, our cells are nourished with oxygen which enables them to heal and perform at optimum.

Alkalinity

When cells are oxygenated properly, cell respiration becomes strong and steady – resulting in an alkaline environment.

An alkaline PH is vital for maximum health while cancer cells grows and multiplies in an acidic body.

Fiber

Greens provide us with insoluble fiber which is important for elimination. It is impossible to eliminate properly without enough fiber in the diet. Most conventional cooked and meat based diet provide insufficient fiber.

When fiber is lacking, the body’s natural ability to eliminate malfunctions and that’s when the skin takes on the tough task of detoxification. The skin is the best indicator of how clean the body is internally!

Why then a green smoothie?
The blending action breaks down the cellular walls of greens and fruits, thus releasing valuable minerals, vitamins and other phytonutrients. These are then delivered to individual cells which are ready for assimilation. Your body is relieved of the digestive burden but yet at the same time, probably taking in much more nutrients than most of the other meals of the day!

Most people are not able to consume greens in sufficient amounts because of low stomach acid levels. By blending, you have already broken down the food particles into a perfect size for absorption. This allows your body to produce lower stomach acid but yet not suffer from indigestion problems.

Things to look out for when consuming green smoothies:

Rotate Greens

It is imperative to rotate the greens you take, just like with any other fruit or vegetable. Nature has it such that not one single fruit, vegetable or green has the full spectrum of health giving benefits for humans. The fact is, there is no single super, all-encompassing food which humans can survive on for long without some form of deficiency problem.

You will know that this is true when you keep on eating the same green or fruit day after day. After some time, you may find that the food loses its appeal or taste less delicious to you.

Fresh is always best

In Singapore, try not to go overnight. The best time to have your green smoothie is right after it is poured out from your blender! In a humid country like Singapore, green smoothies do not keep well.
