Folliculitis
In lay man language, Folliculitis is the condition which results in hair loss.
Actually Folliculitis is a disease that causes acute inflammation of the walls
of the lumen of the hair follicle causing it to die and fall. The inflammation
can be of many types, depending what is the cause. When Folliculitis occurs, the
skin is getting itchy. It is advisable not to scratch itself because after that
you will develop scars. Another milder version is:
Perifollicuties
while the Folliculitis means the inflammation of the hair
follicle itself, the peri-folliculitis is usually seen attacking the surrounding
area of the hair. Usually the Folliculitis leads to peri folliculitis though
sometimes both the manifestations come up at the same time.
Do not confuse the acne with Folliculitis. The difference between these two
afflictions is that one is follicular inflammation of the hair itself, while the
acne the skin is actually plugged with keratin at the follicle level.
Symptoms
The people who suffer from a superficial affliction will have to bear with the
trouble for about 56 days; however if the patient develops deep Folliculitis,
then he will need extra attention. The Folliculitis will produce small papules
full of pus that are always formed around a hair follicle. Those who have more
inflammations should consult with the doctor because if left untreated it will
turn into lesions which will be quite painful and ungainly.
Where do you find Folliculitis?

underarm.
• Usually this disease once contacted will cover all the hair covered areas
in the body.
• Folliculitis is of two forms, i.e. one is superficial and the other is

Folliculitis.
Impetigo
